Irrespective of source, wines in the Ultramar portfolio all exhibit the characteristics of strength, directness, authenticity and typicity of terroir. At the same time, the wines represented and the methods of representation (eg., direct importation) obey the realities of the marketplace and respond to a certain "value" principle.
